Seniors- The Scott Tractor Company 4-H Scholarship is now available along with several other scholarships. All applications are available at
http://msucares.com/4h_Youth/scholarships/index.html.  The deadline for these scholarships is April 1, 2012.

 



Seniors-Delta State is offering a scholarship on behalf of the Division of Languages and Literature. The Ellen Douglas Scholarship is given to one outstanding entering freshman majoring in English. The amount of the scholarship is $1000. The deadline is April 15, 2012.



 

 

Seniors- the Mississippi Department of Education is accepting applications for the federally funded Robert C. Byrd Scholarship program. The program recognizes exceptional seniors who demonstrate academic merit and show promise of continued excellence in their post secondary education. The application is available online at www.mde.k12.ms.us/scholarship/scholdev.html . The deadline is March 31, 2012.



 

Students Must Apply Online for Financial Aid

To simplify the application process, there is a single application for all state financial aid programs.  Encourage your seniors to apply early.  Seniors may apply online at www.mississippi.edu/financialaid for the following programs:

·         Mississippi Eminent Scholars Grant (MESG) – Deadline: September 15

Seniors- If you are planning to attend Miss State next year you may want to compete for scholarships in Physics, Chemistry, and Math. Foreign language may test for college credit. The scholarship testing day is Monday February 21, 2012. To get more information and to register go to
http://www.admissions.msstate.edu/events.  A student must attend MSU and major in that particular subject area to receive the scholarship.

Seniors- The Mississippi State University G. V. “Sonny” Montgomery Center for American’s Veterans in partnership with the Pat Tillman Foundation will be funding scholarships for student veterans, service members, and dependent survivors of service members. Seniors- if you are planning to attend Ole Miss, have a “B” average, and have scored between 21-28, on the ACT, and you demonstrate leadership qualities in school, church and community, you are invited to apply for the Ole Miss Alumni scholarship. The deadline is March 12, 2012.

Seniors- If you are planning to attend The University of Southern Mississippi there are three scholarship opportunities available:

1) The Elmo Lang Memorial Scholarship- Must have a 3.0 GPA and write an essay   describing activities and community involvement.  Must demonstrate a financial need.

2) The Mary Lorraine Peets Buffett Scholarship- Female student, 3.0 GPA, financial need and plan to enter the College of Arts and Letters.

3) Pierce Legacy Scholars Program- to children or grandchildren of Southern Miss graduates. At least one parent or grandparent must have a degree from USM and have been an active member of the Alumni Association for the past ten consecutive years. Based on academic performance, leadership, extracurricular activities and community service.

All applications must be mailed to the scholarship committee by March 15, 2012.



Seniors-LOWE’s Home Improvement Stores offers LOWE’s scholarships to seniors who plan to enroll full time in an undergraduate course of study. Must have a3.25 GPA and demonstrate a history of commitment to their community through leadership activities, community service and/or work experience. National Wild Turkey Federation Scholarship

 

 

NWTF Scholarship – The Greater Jackson Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation announces a $1,000 college scholarship to seniors who represent the goals of the NWTF-education, conservation, and preservation of our great outdoors.  Local winner is eligible for an additional $1,000 scholarship from the State Chapter.
