1) The Elmo Lang Memorial Scholarship- Must have a 3.0 GPA and write an essay   describing activities and community involvement.  Must demonstrate a financial need.

2) The Mary Lorraine Peets Buffett Scholarship- Female student, 3.0 GPA, financial need and plan to enter the College of Arts and Letters.

3) Pierce Legacy Scholars Program- to children or grandchildren of Southern Miss graduates. At least one parent or grandparent must have a degree from USM and have been an active member of the Alumni Association for the past ten consecutive years. Based on academic performance, leadership, extracurricular activities and community service.

All applications must be mailed to the scholarship committee by March 15, 2012.

Seniors-LOWE’s Home Improvement Stores offers LOWE’s scholarships to seniors who plan to enroll full time in an undergraduate course of study. Must have a3.25 GPA and demonstrate a history of commitment to their community through leadership activities, community service and/or work experience.        Seniors planning to attend the University of Southern Mississippi next year should consider applying for the Luckyday Foundation Citizenship Scholars Program. This program provides $16,000 over a four year period. You can also compete for a $4,000 study abroad scholarship.
